Description
The Ovni 455 from Alubat Chantier Naval is an aluminium ocean-going yacht built between 1994 and 2004 with a variable centreboard design, which is 14.95 m long and 4.40 m wide and is designed for structural strength and worldwide cruising suitability. The ballasted centreboard enables a variable draught of 0.95 m to 2.80 m and extends the range of use from shallow anchorages to deep-sea passages with pronounced swell. The sail area of 115 m² supports constant performance values, while a cruising speed of around 7 kn is achieved underway. The aluminium construction offers high resistance to grounding and mechanical stress and ensures predictable movement behaviour in heavy seas. Compared to the more compact Ovni 395, the Ovni 455 from Alubat Chantier Naval has a larger volume and higher range orientation with a comparable design for long voyages.
