Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 38 is a sailing yacht from the Swedish shipyard Hallberg-Rassy with a length of 11.57 metres. It is designed as a classic centre-cockpit yacht, which means that the helm position is raised and protected. Below deck, the layout offers a saloon with seating area, galley on the companionway and a separate wet room. A central feature is the large aft cabin, which is accessible via an internal passageway below deck, usually past the navigation. The hull shape follows the traditional Hallberg-Rassy concept with a moderate S-frame character, deep keel and rudder system on the massive skeg. This clearly places it in the older generation of cruising yachts. Compared to the Hallberg-Rassy 36, the 38 has a more traditional design and utilises a more conservative underwater hull. The Hallberg-Rassy 38 therefore represents a classic centre cockpit concept with a separate aft cabin and sheltered deck layout.
