Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 36 is a sailing yacht from the Swedish shipyard Hallberg-Rassy with a length of 11.31 metres. The model is designed as a cruising yacht with a centre cockpit, which is raised above the engine compartment and offers a sheltered steering position. The hull utilises a fin keel and a free-standing rudder. This distinguishes the Hallberg-Rassy 36 from older models with an S-frame and skeg underwater hull. Below deck, the Hallberg-Rassy 36 has a saloon with longitudinal sofa, an L-shaped galley at the companionway, a separate heads compartment and a self-contained aft cabin with internal passageway. Features include fittings, wide side decks and a fixed superstructure with long windows. Compared to the Hallberg-Rassy 352, the Hallberg-Rassy 36 has a more modern design, while retaining the basic concept with a centre cockpit. The Hallberg-Rassy 36 therefore represents a centre cockpit layout with a more modern design.

Evaluation HR 36 MKII, year of manufacture 2001 A thoroughly successful, heavy, and safe boat with a high center cockpit, excellent workmanship, and sufficiently large tanks. It needs wind but can handle plenty of it, even short Baltic Sea chop. Due to its S-shaped hull, the interior is more compact than modern designs. It features a large navigation table, grab handles everywhere, etc. With proper care, it retains its value very well. Ideal for us as a sailing couple, it's also perfectly suited for older sailors thanks to its hydraulic system, furling mainsail, and electric winches. It meets all our expectations and is primarily used in the Baltic Sea, and occasionally in the North Sea.
