Description
The Dufour 33 from Dufour Yachts is a classic and sporty sailing yacht with a length of 9.85 m and a beam of 3.20 m, built between 1970 and 1977, developed as one of Michel Dufour's early GRP series constructions. The fixed draught of 1.65 m underlines the performance-oriented design of this generation, while the narrow crack favours direct and lively steering behaviour. With a sail area of 51.00 m² in the masthead-slop rig with aluminium mast and jibs at the deck edge, she offers balanced trim options and solid height upwind. The hull speed is 6.5-7.0 knots, the cruising speed under engine is around 5.5 knots. The Dufour 33 is aimed at skippers who appreciate a purist 70s concept with clear lines and honest feedback at the helm. Compared to the Dufour 335, the Dufour 33 has a narrower underwater hull, more direct handling and a reduced space concept with a stronger focus on sailing character.
