Description
The Dufour 405 Grand'Large from Dufour Yachts is a spacious and modern cruising sailing yacht, built between 2005 and 2018. She measures 12.17 m in length, 3.98 m in width and has a draught of around 2.03 m, making her suitable for both coastal and offshore cruising. The sturdily built hull, the efficient rigging and the balanced sail area totalling 81.9 m² - consisting of 36.6 m² mainsail, 45.3 m² genoa/jib - ensure safe and pleasant handling, even in changing wind conditions. The interior offers three double cabins and additional berths in the saloon, with space for up to eight people in total, and two heads compartments for additional comfort. Depending on the conditions, the yacht can reach 7-9 knots under engine power and 6-8 knots under sail in good winds. Compared to smaller models such as the Dufour 360 Grand'Large, the Dufour 405 Grand'Large offers significantly more space, comfort and stability for longer trips.

Good concept A beautiful boat with well-balanced sailing characteristics. It offers plenty of living space below deck, a long galley, two heads, and a comfortable forward cabin. Ample storage, two aft cabins, and a 55hp Volvo engine keep the boat moving even in calm conditions. The mast and mainsail could be larger, but that's not necessary in my cruising area of the Aegean Sea. The workmanship is good and solid. It's incomparable to the interior fittings of newer boats.
