Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 40 MK II is a sailing yacht from the Swedish shipyard Hallberg-Rassy with a length of 12.4 metres. The hull dimensions correspond to the first 40 generation, but the design has been visually revised. Compared to the Hallberg-Rassy 39, the stern is fuller and the lighting has been adapted with larger windows in the superstructure. In terms of design, the Hallberg-Rassy 40 MK II utilises a Frers crack with a free-standing spade rudder without a skeg. The centre cockpit is raised and provides an internal passageway to the aft cabin. Below deck, the Hallberg-Rassy 40 MK II has a saloon, a galley on the companionway, a separate wet room and a self-contained aft cabin. Compared to the Hallberg-Rassy 39, the hull design is more modern and the space in the aft cabin is larger. The Hallberg-Rassy 40 MK II is suitable for longer coastal and offshore cruises.
