Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 45 is a blue water sailing yacht with a centre cockpit and a length of 14.12 metres. It utilises an S-frame hull with a long fin keel, which is often described as a moderate long keel and supports course-stable sailing. The Hallberg-Rassy 45 marked the change to more modern designs within the shipyard line and was one of the early models in this size after Frers-Riss. Depending on the design, it was rigged as a sloop, but ketch versions with two masts are also more common. Compared to later models such as the Hallberg-Rassy 43 or Hallberg-Rassy 44, the Hallberg-Rassy 45 has a more traditional design and is more orientated towards quiet cruising. The Hallberg-Rassy 45 is suitable for sailors looking for a classic long-distance boat with high course stability and reserves in rough seas.
