Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 46 is a 14.1 metre long mid-cockpit yacht that marks a developmental step within the shipyard line. In contrast to the Hallberg-Rassy 45, it no longer uses a classic S-frame, but a more modern underwater hull with a fin keel, which is designed for performance and balanced sailing characteristics. She was rigged as a sloop and no longer offered as a ketch. The centre cockpit remains protected and offers an internal passageway to the aft cabin, clearly separating the living areas. The very large forecastle boxes in the aft cabin are striking, offering plenty of storage space for equipment and provisions. Compared to the Hallberg-Rassy 45, the Hallberg-Rassy 46 is more technical and performance-orientated, but remains true to the Hallberg-Rassy concept. The Hallberg-Rassy 46 is suitable for sailors planning long voyages and offshore trips with a small crew.
