Description
The Hanse 385 is a sailing yacht from HanseYachts AG with a length of 11.4 metres and a beam of 3.88 metres and is designed for sailing with a small crew. Features include the self-tacking jib, double wheel steering and the 9/10 rig, which facilitates manoeuvres over short distances and clear line management. The twin wheel system leaves the passage aft free. The cockpit is wide and separates working areas from seating areas. Below deck there is a saloon with a fixed seating area, an L-shaped galley and, depending on the layout, two or three cabins and storage space for provisions and equipment. There are two options for the draught: the standard keel with 1.99 metres or the flat keel with 1.62 metres for shallower waters. Compared to the Hanse 375, the 385 is wider, offers more volume and a more open stern concept. This makes the Hanse 385 suitable for cruises with a small crew, where simple manoeuvres, a wide cockpit and a variable cabin layout are paramount.
