Description
The Hanse 531 is a 16.15 metre long sailing yacht from HanseYachts AG and was one of the shipyard's first larger production models. The Hanse 531 was built with epoxy resin and is considered an early production model for the later epoxy construction at Hanse. The flat deckhouse design, which characterised the lines of the brand, is typical. The deck layout is designed for cruising and utilises a large cockpit, clear walkways and a double steering system. Several cabin layouts are possible below deck, with separate sleeping areas and heads compartments depending on the layout. Features are the space reserves in the saloon and a clear room layout. Compared to the Hanse 548, which was developed much later, the Hanse 531 belongs to an earlier generation in terms of design, with fewer large window areas and less variable deck solutions, but with a similar basic orientation as a performance cruiser.
