Description
The Malö 47 is a 14.2 metre long, modern cruising yacht with a centre cockpit and successor to the Malö 45/46. The GRP hull is designed as a displacement hull with a moderate short keel and deep spade rudder. This creates a balanced relationship between course stability and manoeuvrability. The overall length is usually around 14.65 metres due to the integrated stern. The cockpit is sheltered. The deck structure has wide side decks and fixed handrails for safe movement on board. Below deck, the saloon is very bright thanks to windows that extend far forward. The layout comprises a forward cabin, a spacious saloon, a galley and an aft cabin. A third cabin layout is often available. The rigging is usually designed as a cutter slop with a fixed inner forestay. Compared to the Malö 45, the 47 offers more interior volume and a more flexible layout. The Malö 47 is aimed at crews looking for a cruising yacht for longer ocean voyages with a focus on safety and storage space.
