Super stable, wind and weatherproof, reliable and safe to use. I always have one with me on outdoor wilderness hikes. It does have some weight, but in the event of an unexpected encounter with a predator, I prefer to use a torch first before resorting to aggressive means. Of course, the torch is also wonderful to use in the event of another emergency to draw attention to yourself.
