When delivered, the product had different ends than in the photos and documentation on the website. As a result it cannot be used with the mounting plates provided, because the ends are way too thick (10 mm, vs. 6 mm slots in the mounting plates). I have asked SVB to correct the matter, but at the time of writing this evaluation I haven't received any response.

Can you unscrew the fittings in both ends? I am looking for a gas spring with 8mm threading (male) in both ends. Will item 33301 (the 355 mm version) fit my needs? Thank you for your assistance.
