- The sail is properly trimmed when the tell-tales are roughly parallel to one another on both sides.
- If you are sailing too close to the wind, the windward tell-tale (red) will point up or strongly move around.
- If you are sailing too far from the wind, the leeward tell-tale (green) will point up or strongly move around.
