Extremely sharp image that's lighter than with bare eyes It's true, this is indeed a brand new Steiner Commander 7x50 without compass for an AMAZING price, as shown on the photos. (It's not the 7x50c as the item title says; clearly a typo. I went to the local chandlery a few days ago where they had the new 7x50 Navigator and this Commander, both about the same price. Was allowed to try them out. The Commander was clearly the winner - Significant wider field of view - Ligher image - Better 3D impression - Prefer the old style with big rubber grips Just received this Commander 7x50 from SVB today and tried it out over at the marina. It's just great!

Top product! Steiner is a real name in the segment! Even if I was a little unsure about the price at first, it must be said that the quality of the binoculars is really hard to beat! I bought the binoculars for the sea, so the magnification is not that important. The weight, although quite high, is therefore completely fine. The autofocus is also absolutely convincing. So far there has not been a situation in which I would have wished for a wheel. Clearly recommend buying!

The COMMANDER binoculars combine high-definition optics with maximum functionality and precision in a robust and comfortable housing. A perfect match for the highest demands on the water. The improved high-definition optics minimise stray light so that contours are always clearly visible - razor-sharp images in the highest resolution are guaranteed.

Optical performance
Thanks to the Diamond Marine coating, maximum light transmission values, sharpness and contrast are guaranteed even in low light conditions. The Sports-Auto-Focus eliminates the need for refocussing and always delivers a sharp image from 20 m to infinity with 3D brilliance and 7x magnification. The XL field of view of 145 m at a distance of 1000 m provides a comprehensive overview in any situation. Nano-Protection® reliably protects the lenses from dirt and water. Memory diopter provides a handy mechanism to store and indicate your personal diopter setting.
