Great toilet but definitely not silent! A really nice, well made toilet that replaced my Jabsco manual toilet. It was easy to install and performs excellently. Two little niggles are that the paper template provided for the cut for the flush switches is not to scale. Yes you read right a template that is actually printed the wrong size (it tells you this on the template.) Also the toilet is actually very loud when flushing and at night this will cause a problem. I would say that the inlet is about as noisy as a food mixer. It tends to be worst when sucking air prior to the actual water being primed and then it quietens down. The air issue could be solved by removing the anti siphon in the inlet hose, but I am not happy about doing this. All in all though a very good bit of kit.

Simply great The toilet works perfectly, is pleasantly quiet, has a softclose lid and is considerably cheaper than the comparable model from another manufacturer. Since I was so disappointed by the impossible delivery times of the other manufacturer, I decided on Johnson and I am super satisfied. Fast delivery, low price, very quiet and, in my opinion, the flushing behavior in the basin is better than that of the competition.

The discharge outlet of the waste pump comes with a fitting for connecting either a 25 mm hose or a 38 mm hose. Which diameter is better? Does the smaller one allow for better internal flushing of the hose, or is the larger diameter always preferable? What is the difference in use between choosing a 25 mm or a 38 mm hose? It would be easier for me to install the 25 mm hose because I have limited space and the bends are tight.

Both hose sizes work, but 25 mm is perfectly fine if space is tight. It does not reduce flushing performance in normal installations, and it can even improve the self‑cleaning effect inside the hose because of the higher flow velocity.
