Float’n Flash and MOB Auto Set Functions
The IC-M94DE is IPX7 submersible and floatable. Should it fall in to the water, the radio floats and the display, keys and rear panel distress button flash to help you retrieve it from the water. In addition, the MOB Auto Set Function ensures that an MOB distress signal is transmitted automatically while Float’n Flash is working. Pressing the DISTRESS button immediately starts an emergency MOB alert, rather than the plain undesignated one for better protection of sailors. The position and time of the person (unit) in the water are transmitted accordingly.
