Superb offshore jacket with a surprisingly good fit in M With 170 68 kg I decided on M - The jacket as the third layer (T-shirt, soft shell, dungarees and then jacket) convinces with very good freedom of movement - At first I thought the sleeves were too long - But with movements in front of the mirror which usually occur on the mast or on the winch, I almost had the feeling that I wasn't wearing a jacket at all. There are 4 (!) warming, lined hand pockets, at the top of the chest and behind the cargo pockets on the hips. (can't be seen from the pictures). The jacket is cut much longer than expected, similar to a Parker. TOP !! Thus, it offers protection against cold and wet, because you can sit on your own jacket. Hood is easy to adjust - preferably with a cap on your head. Room for improvement 1. I hate velcro! These annoy with gloves. Unfortunately there are no more jackets without Velcro. 2. Velcro cuffs could be deflected - This used to be standard on premium jackets and worked with one hand if the sleeve needed to be pulled really tight. The inside pocket at chest height is useful, big enough for XXL mobile phones - I would like two of these pockets on the left and right. 3. The mouth and nose protection should be removable. This is a little annoying - can be stuffed into the collar, but you can still feel it... Clear purchase recommendation !!!

Men's Skagen Offshore Sailing Jacket / alert red

Designed for offshore, the red Helly Hansen SKAGEN OFFSHORE sailing jacket is highly waterproof and windproof, Made from recycled materials, the sailing jacket features a HELLY TECH® PERFORMANCE 2-layer construction and is highly waterproof and windproof, while at the same time extremely breathable and robust. The soft interior fabric dries quickly abd provides long-lasting comfort. The hem and Velcro arm cuffs are all adjustable enabling you to customise the fit and prevent the jacket from slipping. The jacket also has a high, fleece-lined collar for protection against wind and water, as well as a hi-vis neon yellow adjustable hood that can be stowed away in the collar. CORDURA® reinforcements on the sleeves and lower back prevent tearing when pushing the sailing jacket to the max on board. With an inner pocket and four outer pockets for gear and warm hands. The hi-vis hood and reflective elements provide additional visibility in the dark. The jacket can be conveniently hung up on the external hanging loop on the back for drying.
