Product details

Quick-drying two-component epoxy primer perfect for use on steel, aluminium and wooden hulls above and below the waterline. INTERPROTECT from INTERNATIONAL is also suitable as a primer and as a corrosion protection agent for cast iron keels and rudders. Recommended film thickness of 360 µm. Thinner no. 7. Coverage: about 9 m²/litre.

Super primer

I coated my sandblasted keel with this primer. Apply the first layer on site within the first two hours after blasting, according to instructions. At home I rolled a second layer because the blasted cast iron seemed to be very absorbent and the surface seemed a bit mottled. After the prescribed waiting time, I filled and sanded the entire keel. Then applied another 6 coats (always nice and thin). The result is excellent. Now there's a CupperCoat treatment for the entire underwater hull - and I hope that I'll have peace of mind for the next 10-15 years.
