1a - everything perfectly, super clean executed, incl. 2 keys and small closing plate for the opposite side. Lock is used to lock a bulkhead on a h26 keelboat.

This Roling can not get in the usual key services. So I ordered it right away - in case I sink one of the 2 original keys.

I bought this castle 6 years ago from SVB and installed it in my old sailing yacht. Never had problems, was always reliable. Now I really wanted this safety lock again for my new sailing yacht, because the "BUILT-IN CASTLE" was not reliable and so good.

This locker exists with 3 options of the cilinder size and in the site only exists one size without other options.

Overall general appearance correct. But a lot of play in the lock by pressing the button is a bit disturbing. We will see in use. The value for money is not convincing compared to unmarked locks "marine".

Quality and function ok; price too high

Good concept, moderate execution. I bought the lock for my plug-in bulkhead, because it can also be operated and closed from the inside, without a key on the outside. At the very high price but I would have expected more quality. Criticisms: 1. As delivered, the lock from the second lock level could only be opened from the inside. Luckily I realized that before I locked myself out! Cause: Sloppy processing, the locking mechanism apparently comes directly from the punch without significant deburring in the housing. Only after dismantling and a long "dremeln" the lock was usable. 2. The lock cylinder corresponds to the safety only her simplest requirements ("furniture lock"), and that at the price! 3. As additional keys only blanks are delivered, so to locksmiths and another 5 euros per additional key press. 4. Assembly costly: no drilling template, mounting position must be determined, costly adjustments required, only on thin bulkhead (or accordingly deep recessed) can be installed, since the key can not be rotated when the cylinder is more than about 3 mm "in the rosette "disappears

It's supposed to be the original Bavaria lock for the companionway bulkhead! It's probably been modified over the years, but it only fits with significant modifications. New holes and a spacer plate would be needed! My experience! That only works with considerable craftsmanship!

About 6 years ago, I mounted this lock on the top companionway bulkhead of my self-build yacht. Has not worked for about 4 years after watering (maybe a little over 100 actuations). Reason the "inner life" is made of bronze (mechanically too "soft" for this purpose). By dismantling, filing, oils, etc., the lock could be made again for a few operations over the laps. Since I did not want to install new holes for another lock, I have HEAVY HEART acquired a similar copy of SVB for a lot of money and make for a little less money two additional keys. Conclusion The article is much too expensive and material ("inner life") totally "next to the track". I can really judge the latter as an experienced engineer. The "mechanics" should expediently consist of V4A.

What is called "key cabochon" is just a basic hubcap for the lock entry on the outside side of the opening doorpanel. The price is really not justified for a trifle to two under this product should be delivered automatically with the marine lock.
