Reluctantly, we switched from VC17m, with which we were very satisfied, to the antifouling "VC Offshore EU". Application was easy and good.

Our sailboat is moored in warm inland waters with heavy fouling.

Even during the season, we noticed a significant decrease in sailing performance.

When we hauled out of the water, it became clear: heavy fouling with algae, mussels, and crabs on the hull was slowing the boat down. I will look for a different product.

I have used this product with satisfaction for several years but the last two have been very disappointing with not only algae but also a lot of concretions and shells. This last summer is really disappointing (careening at the end of May, 3000 nm in the summer and a very dirty hull in September). Has there been a change in the product?

Not what it used to be

I completely rebuilt the underwater ship in 2012 with what was then the VC Offshore. That lasted until 2019 (fresh water, 6 seasons of approx. 6 months, winter in the hall). In 2019 I repeated the procedure (completely sanded down, several layers of VC TAR, then 5 layers of VC Offshore, about 100 hours of work). Result after the 2nd season, the underwater hull looked like it did after the 2018 season. Hands off! Who knows what better ???
