With the set as a beginner I have successfully produced a complicated endless splice according to the Geilstein instructions. The Fids are just great: sturdy and absolutely practical. The complete set is in my opinion well served and does not need a pusher (scissors, knife, tape and possibly needle and thread are sufficient). Thus, the price-performance ratio compared to other Fids.

So far I have processed with the set DynaLite (core in core) and Harkon (core in sheath - sheath in core) in different diameters. The set has proven to be a really useful tool. Since the fids are not seamless tubes, there is a bump in the middle of the tube. At this point, depending on the material and braid of the rope individual threads can get caught. But in no way detracts from the utility value of the Fid-Set. All in all: a good tool!
