I am very happy with the new halyard. I was able to sew it onto the old one and pull it in again without any problems. The shackle is easy to open and close, so we now always tie the halyard to the freeboard and do not leave it on the sail when we do not need the sail. This perfectly prevents the halyard from flapping. It fits well in the winch, even though it is a bit thicker than the old one, and it is easy to pull up.
