Effective, simple, practical

Securing the turnbuckles has always been a bit of a fiddly affair. Especially with the risk of parts bouncing overboard and disappearing into the water never to be seen again. This system is simpler but just as effective. Furthermore, assuming the bolt size is correct, they fit the various makes of turnbuckles without any problems.
Sure, they can be removed just as easily by others who have a "spontaneous" need, but in my case, they're well covered by covers and hopefully remain out of reach of unauthorized access.

The pins reliably prevent the rigging screw from turning loose and the Velcro fastener is long enough so that it cannot come loose, even accidentally, e.g. when a sheet is passed or brushed past.
Assembly is extremely easy, no more annoying splints that tear lines or trouser legs, stockings, shoes.
