Well replaces the 30-year-old VDO sensor in the tank of my ship, the electrical no longer reliably indicates the caution. Installation diameter is approx. 4 mm larger than that of the old sensor, it did not fit through the mounting hole in the tank. Remedy Grind the plastic holder of the transmitter carefully at some corners with a grinding machine and file, then installation is possible.
Good device, the assembly/installation instructions could have been a little more detailed. It's a little annoying having to first search the Internet for useful instructions on how to connect to the encoder.\r\nOtherwise: processing by SVB, as always, flawless and quick.

The VDO Viewline fuel gauge shows the fuel tank level and can be used for various tank sensors
For the first time I am really disappointed with SVB. Unfortunately, it cannot be used for different sensors. There are dip tube sensors and pendulum sensors. Had to search for the error for a long time why it didn't work for me. After talking to SVB it was clear that I had received the wrong advertisement. But is not specified in the product description. Item was not taken back on the grounds: long-ago purchase (3 months) so what? and condition of the goods. The display was installed and removed once. You don't look at her. And of course the packaging was opened. Wouldn't everything have happened if you described it properly with the important information.

Why is this being changed? Why does the ad only last 10 years?
I would have expected more quality from VDO. Then I buy the successor model and you can't connect it. 4 connection cables have turned into tons. If only there were at least one adapter. Very user unfriendly.
