Seems waterproof. A 4-star rating, no 5-star rating because fitting is quite difficult. Probably it will be easier after several times, don't know yet.

The iPad is a bit difficult to install and remove. Without the included "Schuhanzieher" is hardly. Once inside, it's completely waterproof. Where you lie it stays, no matter what heeling. The operation is okay, you just have to press a little more. When wet, the fingers slip a little heavier over the film. Otherwise, I would never want to do without the iPad navigation. The plotter on our charter yacht, however, was a shit.

The case is really waterproof. Super! The lens on the back is not 100% clear, it has streaks when you look through it. This worsens the already very moderate Ipad camera quality even further. Packing the iPad in the case is not that easy, but once you've made it, the case is tight. To recharge you have to unpack the ipad again.

Unfortunately, there is no way to load the iPad as long as it is in the case! It seems to be really tight for that. The insertion and removal is quite exhausting and time-consuming.

Works good in the boat but VERY diffcult to get the ipad inside and shutting the case properly, takes about 10-15 mins

The product works well. However, I miss a possibility for the power supply. Negative is the size. The case does not fit into any iPad holder, eg "Ram Mount" Greeting Michael Schulz

Schwer zusammen zu bauen. Frontfolie liegt nicht am Bildschirm an, man muß ziemlich fest drücken, um das iPad zu bedienen - verbesserungswürdig. Design ist gut und das Teil macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Dichtigkeit (noch) nicht getestet.

Frage ist, wie lange bleibt es dann dicht.
Da ja man jeden Tag es auspacken muss, um zu laden.
Schade, sonst ist es toll, hat sogar die seitlichen Tasten nutzbar gestaltet.

Unfortunately the product does not meet the expectations. The "Montage" is extremely power-consuming and a nuisance, when the case is finally around the iPad, you have the feeling that it is really waterproof. But the feeling on the screen is missing. Typing still works, but since the slide is not directly on the screen, especially "two finger movements" are very inaccurate. The operation eg of navigation apps is not good. Disappointing also the dazzling effect of the matt foil. I have tested the product on my boat and to be honest the readability of the iPad without a case is much better than with. Absolute mistake then the offered at SBV bracket "RAM shell for IPad with Case". For this mount, this case is simply too thick !!! All in all: this case is unsuitable for use on board together with the RAM shell !!

For use on the pleasure boat only limited recommended. The case can be quite difficult to assemble, but then sits perfectly. The sticking point is: to recharge the case must be removed again - a torture. So I've cut a small hole for the charging cable, which can be done well. However, this could no longer be made 100% airtight, so that the film protrudes somewhat due to the air flowing in. Now the operation is limited. My next attempt: the Andres Case. Who buys too cheap just paid 2 times.
