Very stiff cable (35 mm2)
The 35 mm² cable from SVB is significantly stiffer than cables of the same thickness from other suppliers. Unfortunately, the SVB catalog does not specify the number of individual strands. This number is crucial for the cable's flexibility. The finer the strands, the more flexible the cable.
A more flexible cable is easier to install and dampens vibrations more effectively, thus reducing stress fractures at the crimped or soldered connections.
I bought the 35 mm² cable from SVB because other suppliers didn't have it sold by the meter, but only offered larger reels. In the end, I saved a few euros, but still paid twice the price per meter at SVB for a lesser product. What a shame...
