Finally a reliable depth indicator again

My old Target depth sounder had stopped working over the last two seasons - first erratic readings, then nothing at all. I used the haul-out to install a new antifouling and the new sensor at the same time.
The biggest challenge was getting the old sensor out of the installation tube, the rest was straightforward and the Target2 display fits exactly into the position of the old Target. Setting the keel distance was easy - the important thing is that you determine the true distance between the bottom of the sensor and the bottom of the keel while the boat is out. In my case it is 83cm, so I set the distance to 0.9. The measured depths now match exactly those determined using the hand log.
