replacement for an old device

The echo sounder was replaced because the really old device was getting old. Delivery was quick and the replacement was uncomplicated. The old sensor could still be used. My recommendation is to use the protective cap when not in use to protect it from the sun. Since the boat does not have a NMEA2000, it is sufficient as a depth gauge. The secondary device that is used also works without problems.

Had my concerns because I wanted to install the echo sounder on my Elan38 and the Elan built in 1994 has quite thick GRP and of course antifouling was also on it.
Simply chew gum, find the place for the installation on the transmitter, clean and glue with epoxy. Works up to cca 20m depth. Good value for money
