Strong tiller pilot, unfortunately no slow start. Works very jerky which certainly does not spare the moving parts inside. Looks good that was waived on a display.

Inexpensive autopilot with satisfying basic functions. At the turn of the car, the device probably has difficulties under sail.

After almost two year (two summer) of use the eletronics on my TP10 failed. The course changes only a starboard side on auto mode. On manual mode I could not moved a tiller on port side, the starboard side worked. I saw the simillar failures on several customers, some have been written a comment.
Suppose to be a system failure, after some period of work. The day before failure was very rough sea. Now I am considering to by a Raymarine ST100 plus.

After the Simrad TP 10 had done what it was supposed to for two years, the electronics failed. Uncontrolled course changes of 30 degrees to starboard several times a day, extremely sluggish and inappropriate control deflections (despite calibration) followed by total failure (start sequence is not completed). That was the second TP10 that gave up the ghost after exactly 2 years with identical symptoms. Since others are also reporting this problem, I wonder if Simrad has planned obsolescence here. With Simrad I am thoroughly and currently very satisfied with the Raymarine 2000ST

Not reliable and gets very hot when in use
TP 10 new put into service in June 2021 served a dozen outings and broken down! after dismantling a loose connection pin inside put back in place and again broken down! of course it is no longer guaranteed! bought in 2019. Grrr under repair at AD Roses Spain.

Additional costs due to shortened supply cable.
The SIMRAD tiller pilot TP 10 received from SVB has a supply cable that is 0.35 m shorter than the same device that I bought six years ago. Therefore the tiller pilot cannot be connected to the existing socket. Extra effort for me to get cable extension, coupling connection, as well as the assembly. Material additional plug connection € 29.95, cable extension € 3.50, small items € 1.00, procurement and assembly work on board and in the area of the berth of my boat, approx. 2 hours. I estimate the total costs at € 75.00. Dear Sir or Madam and. I await your suggestion as to how the additional costs that I have incurred through no fault of my own can be offset. Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Leider haben wir keinen Einfluss auf die von Ihnen bemängelte Kabellänge. Sie können sicher sein, daß Sie bei uns keine "spezielle SVB-Edition" mit einem verkürzten Kabel gekauft haben. Desweiteren haben wir Ihnen auch keine Zusicherung für eine bestimmte Kabellänge gegeben.
Sollte ein Hersteller, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, sein Produkt ändern liegt das ausserhalb unserer Zuständigkeit. Ich bin mir sicher, daß das Innenleben Ihres jetzigen Piloten im Vergleich zu der alten Generation wahrscheinlich heute auch ganz anders aussieht und die verbaute Steuerungselektronik / Software deutlich leistungsfähiger geworden ist.
Bitte haben Sie daher Verständniss, daß uns eine Erstattung etwaiger Kosten vorgenannten Gründen nicht möglich ist.
Wir haben jedoch Ihre Mail an den Hersteller weitergeleitet. Vieleicht lassen sich die Kollegen erweichen.

Buyer beware, read all descriptions
This company has a very clever way of using pictures to show a compilation of products, the product pictured is not necessarily the item you will receive. I thought these tactics were only used by dodgy e-bay sellers , by alas... no , it seems in germany you can still do these things .

Hello installed on my boat of 9.20 m for 4.5 tons, so I am without problem in the technical criteria of this pilot Sense to serve while waiting to receive my cruise control and then after just the engine and other rare conditions or we can not use the regulator.
