Always with me, but never used.
First of all, I had a 32 foot monohull, a 37 foot cat, and a 44 foot pickup. With the Kat I was traveling 10 years in the North Atlantic. In my entire 50-year sailing career, I did not need a signal rocket, a liferaft or a sea anchor. So what should I say about that? But what I did was to anchor twice in open water in shallow water (Great Bahama Bank) and the realization was there it is not. The ship must be able to run away from the wind and the speed should be moderately reduced, so that the tail remains in the wind. Or what Wilfried Erdmann did just leave the ship to himself. What does that mean in relation to the choice of the teibanker? I would choose the smaller one with the lower resistance.

Also useful on the jetty
The berth of my boat, a box on a dock, unfortunately has 9ß% tailwind. I used to drag a bucket with me to a rope to "park" slower. The sea anchor makes that very nice.

This is of course hoping I'll never have to use it

I'm quite satisfied, honestly I thought it was a little bigger. Best regards.

Have not had any practical experience with this product. Quality, material and workmanship are great.

Lines too weak
The lines are absolutely unsuitable for holding a yacht. They just rip off.

tore and disappeared during the first test
LALIZAS Sea Anchor 190cm (23033 Sea Anchor 190x145cm) I tried it and it snapped immediately and disappeared into the Baltic Sea. I had attached it to a line with a bowline knot through the loops provided and the line and knot are intact. This makes it clear that the flat straps of the sea anchor have snapped! We sailed in a bay with no waves at about 5 knots, our ship has 45 feet. If you deploy the sea anchor in an emergency in a storm on the open sea to stabilize the ship, the conditions are rougher and you have no help from this sea anchor. I assume that the sea anchor had a manufacturing defect and ask SVB for a replacement delivery or another product with better durability, for which I would then be happy to pay the difference in price. I hope for an offer.

The material of the parachute anchor seems to be strong enough, but the straps on which should hang up to 15 meters in heavy weather ship are made of material as suspenders.
