Always with me, but never used.
First of all, I had a 32 foot monohull, a 37 foot cat, and a 44 foot pickup. With the Kat I was traveling 10 years in the North Atlantic. In my entire 50-year sailing career, I did not need a signal rocket, a liferaft or a sea anchor. So what should I say about that? But what I did was to anchor twice in open water in shallow water (Great Bahama Bank) and the realization was there it is not. The ship must be able to run away from the wind and the speed should be moderately reduced, so that the tail remains in the wind. Or what Wilfried Erdmann did just leave the ship to himself. What does that mean in relation to the choice of the teibanker? I would choose the smaller one with the lower resistance.
