Well, it changes a lot easier and faster. Protects pumping inside tremendously.

Expensive but very good, not available in the tool trade.

Ideal for changing turbines

Works great. Goes like butter. We are pleased that the edge of the impeller chamber with the sealing level no longer has to be martyred by the handles of the two screwdrivers that were previously used to replace the impeller in order to balance the impeller wheel out of the way. 4 stars really only because the "price seems a little too proud". Otherwise really OK.

The product is exaggeratedly too expensive, in local tool shops it is possible to purchase various sizes with 2 or 3 callers for 19 €. Here I feel excluded as a water sports enthusiast !!! For

The puller really did me a good job. Especially in my case, where the impeller is difficult to access, because the water pump is installed very close to an on-board wall, it has served me well. The puller immediately gripped the impeller (Johnson 1027, very similar to Volvo Penta 3862281), and a trace-free pulling was possible with very little effort, where screwdrivers etc. immediately failed. Simply insert and pull the puller between the slats, and then pull. Since there was not enough space for the threaded rod, I unscrewed it completely, attached the "torso" of the puller to the impeller and pulled the whole thing in the right direction with my fingers: This was immediately successful with minimal effort. The only drawback: The very high price for the tool, the height of which I can not understand with the best will.

Have I had no experience, the product was procured prophilactically, but seems to be of good quality

average quality thread on main screw
Used once to replace the turbine, the extractor thread already seems to show signs of fatigue and pronounced wear. A harder steel or a surface heat treatment would be welcome for a tool that is nonetheless expensive. That said, it worked very well (I hope its condition will not worsen the next time it is used...) and seems essential on board to properly extract the turbine.

Helpful after modification but expensive
Actually, only the basic structure is useful for me. The screws take up too much space for the installation space on the impeller (Yanmar on Jeanneau 45).
Ahoy

Rather practical product, enormously facilitates disassembly, on the other hand very bulky I therefore modified the central screw by a shorter hexagonal head for better accessibility with ratchet eye wrench and the 2 external butterflies by screws diam 6 hexagonal head for a better tightening. In summary practical tool after modifications to adapt it to my engines (TAMD60C)

Unfortunately not for the sea water pump that I have on my engine (Volvo Penta KAD 43). Do not get as far into the pump because the two wing screws interfere.

Unfortunately, the extractor wasn't suitable for my impeller. Moreover, it wasn't easy to tell from the specifications on the website which impellers it was configured for. A pointless and, unfortunately, expensive purchase.
I was not satisfied at all

Not really good
I also had to replace the clamping screws with M 6 hexagon. The puller does not reach far behind the impeller. For the price a "FRECHHEIT"

Just bad
I have the big one that I bought here for an emergency years ago. I had forgotten the price, I see it right here, definitely an insolence. Now I needed him for the first time. My pump is sitting quite angled (Volvo Penta MD50A) No chance to use the puller. Apparently, no thought was given to constructing the outer, slim \ '. (eg the silly T-handle on the screw) So the whole pump is dismantled. Now I'm trying to use the puller. Again there is no indication, the plastic wings of the clamping screws collide with the pump housing. So the two clamping screws were replaced by normal M6 hexagon screws. Next experience, the puller does not reach behind the impeller, as the photos suggest (since the impeller rests on the rear wall (wear plate) of the housing, the tines should have been chamfered from the other side), but bored in the impeller rubber. Although I tightened my M6 screws with the pliers, the tines pull clearly visible grooves in the rubber before the impeller starts to slide. The impeller is damaged where the tines grip. (Sure, it is usually anyway, but for me it was exceptionally brand new because I had changed it before, but now I needed it somewhere else.) So what had worked just before when changing the impeller (but unfortunately not always) ): Remove the cover and start the machine. By turning the impeller had worked out in a flash and a lot in the bilge ..... My judgment: unusable.
