Of course you can drill out the diameter of the inner hole. To do this, the two parts have to be wedged together, i.e. in the final assembly state. Then it is difficult to hold the ring in order to drill the hole larger. After that, the two parts can only be separated again with force in order to mount it on the railing or the shroud. Conclusion: 1 € DIY part but it works. Recommended purchase due to lack of alternatives (or you can take a golf ball and drill it open).
