These used to be among the best chain shackles.

Unfortunately, today, they skimp on material quality, which impacts safety. Even in gentle 25kt gusts, the pin on our 22t boat with 8mm chain bent.

That shouldn't happen!!! The material meets a standard and strength, but the pins don't seem to meet any standards. I suspect they're made in China.

Nichts Made in China ! Die Schäkel werden in Italien produziert. 22 Tonnen an einer 8mm Kette erscheint mir auch sehr ambitioniert.
