Von der Dichtigkeit her einfaches, aber dennoch gut durchdachtes Prinzip. Lediglich an den Schrauben, die die Einsätze mit den Buchsen bzw. Steckern halten ist keine Dichtung (habe einfach aus einem O-Ring-Sortiment welche her genommen). Ansonsten haptisch sehr wertig. Was zur Abwertung (nur 4 Sterne) führte war, daß die Durchführung und die Dichtung am Stecker nur für wirklich sehr dünne Kabel ausgelegt ist. Wollte ursprünglich mit 4x2,5² davon weg gehen, aber auch 4x1,5² wurde schon zur nicht realisierbaren Herausforderung. Habe daher die Zugentlastung und die Dichtung weg gelassen und habe die Kabel mit Teroson Dichtmasse abgedichtet. Damit waren dann die anvisierten 4x2,5² möglich, allerdings nur als einzelne Kabel (was bei meinem Einsatzzweck aber kein Problem darstellt). An der Buchse ist das Alles kein Problem, hier sollte lediglich (auch bei kleineren Querschnitten) mit einem 15er Bohrer ein Loch für die Durchführung gemacht werden. Ein so großes Loch ist deshalb erforderlich, da ansonsten durch die Anordnung der Kontakte die Kabel an der Kante scheuern würden.

Der Sockel ist zu klein geraten. Die Löcher sind für 3mm Schrauben gedacht was nicht praktikabel ist. Habe die Löcher auf 4 mm aufbohren müssen. Schade sonst wäre es ein gutes Produkt.

Steckverbindung

Die Verbindung macht zwar einen soliden Eindruck doch zur Montage sind die Löcher von gerade mal 3 mm nur bedingt geeignet.
Ein etwas größerer Fuß mit 4 mm Bohrung wäre besser gewesen. Zudem sind alle Durchführungen und Decktrennstellen die gekauft hatte unterschiedlich was die Befestigung angeht.

I can't use that on a boat. The installation was fiddly, and the first time I tried to loosen it, the fasteners broke off. Next time, I'll get something from Philippi or even Harting.

Modest quality

Thrown off my own boat and now off the club's training boat. I use it for lighting on the mast, and on the training boat as a deck feedthrough for lighting and a remote cut-off switch (short circuit button) for the outboard motor.

Very nice from the outside, installation is OK. After about two years, I'm starting to experience problems with the contacts because the pins and sockets are corroding. Far too unreliable, especially for the remote cut-off switch.

Unsuitable for unprotected outdoor installation. Perhaps protect it with terminal grease when new, but I haven't tried it yet.
