Expensive, but justified
I was very happy with this product before I broke it by overtightening the screws. Fortunately, Carling still supplies it and even claims to have modified the plastic to make it more durable. The previous one was about twenty years old. The new one fits perfectly as a replacement.
Excellent product, if the specifications are followed.
The product is excellent and not too expensive, but the casing is relatively fragile if the connections aren't tightened properly. The recommended tightening torque is between 1.7 and 2.4 Nm. This is really not much and very easy to exceed. The plastic casing doesn't withstand overtightening. (Carling states that new products are made of a stronger plastic.) Mine was over ten years old, and it literally exploded when I tightened the nuts. If you don't have a torque wrench, be sure to hold the lower nut while tightening the upper one. The terminals are held between two nuts. Note that these are conductive nuts and washers; do not replace them with stainless steel nuts and washers.

CARLINGSWITCH - Rocker circuit breaker 60 Ampere with code number 10610
Automatic electric switch, magneto-hydraulic for max load 60 A, in my case for DC 12 V circuit (windlass protection). In the technical manual the voltage range in which it can be used is 125 V in DC and 220 V in AC. Item corresponding to the description, well made. compact, easy to assemble, simple to use; good quality of materials; practical practical implementation high breaking power. A definitive judgment can be given after an adequate period of use at the service of the on-board circuits, in a brackish environment.

Good backup. I used the part for the anchor winch (1000W).

After all the "cheap" ones come the good ones ;-)
Use them as "main fuses" and also in front of the windlass, because the change of the strip fuses is complex and takes time, because - Murphy - always comes at the wrong moment.

Product is used to protect a sine wave inverter in a solar island system. Very well.

Good alternative to high-load fuses from Lofrans and Quick.

Switch as described. Unfortunately, there is no cover available for a clean installation at SVB.

Be careful when tightening the nuts
The circuit breakers are very compact and you can easily put together banks of fuses in the smallest of spaces.
However, the housing broke several times when I tightened the nuts at the contact points. An automatic machine also broke when loosening a nut.
I have now applied a little aluminum contact grease to the threads and only tightened them to 4.5 Nm with a torque wrench. 6Nm is standard for M6. However, with the high currents that the machines can protect, a fixed contact is essential.
So please be careful when tightening the nuts. Breakage is expensive fun here.

Solid connections and high-quality workmanship. However, the switch jumps back to the zero position with the lightest touch. If that doesn't knock out my autopilot in harder waves... I'll trust the Carling quality. However, it would be nicer if the switching on and off force were similar.

So far I've had good experiences using it in the 12 volt/24 volt range, no electrical problems.
Individual machines do not fit into the front panel of combination machines, difference of approx. 5 mm, sheet metal had to be reworked.

Unfortunately poorly packaged
SVB packages these circuit breakers like "bulk goods" in a paper bag, which of course gets cracked by the threaded bolts. The circuit breakers also scratch each other. Of the 7 circuit breakers, the paper label on one was so scratched that one of the characteristics could no longer be read. I don't understand why sensible packaging (air mailer bags) isn't used here. Other products - even much cheaper ones - are packaged like this.

Works perfectly... However, on the first machine the gearshift lever broke off after a short time... Let's see if that was a coincidence or a defect...
