It's really amazing how little sun light the fan needs. Runs great.

The cover was slightly scratched, from assembly to production. You can lift the fan from the inside and close it. This makes the whole thing a bit shaky and has to be handled with feeling.

Fan makes a good impression. However, the fan runs in battery mode only 10 min. Then he turns off and you have to turn it on again with a button. So not suitable for continuous operation in battery mode. Unfortunately, this information was missing in the product description.

Good workmanship. The fan is not yet in continuous use, but makes a good impression. The installation instructions could be more detailed.

Product looks good, 1. x fan as needed, 2. was not sent by DHL. 3, then it was good.

Unfortunately, after a short time, the effect diminishes without direct sunlight. Exchange then easily via SCB.

The seal is not perforated on the provided screw fastenings, when tightening the holes must be added on site otherwise the seal is distorted.

I bought the Smartvent 300, unfortunately there were no screws on the article. After the first test run, the Venti rattled as if the shaft had knocked out. Have then removed the protective grid and the propeller something directed. Now he's humming softly ... hopefully for a long time. Otherwise a good product but too expensive for Made in China

Until now repeatedly installed. Problem-free installation. Only little ventilation performance. ME suitable as a gentle continuous fan.

The solar panel is not waterproof. Seawater has gotten inside, causing salt crusts on the solar panel. It is not possible to open the product to repair this.

Disappointed with the product.

After two years, the Plexiglas surround over the solar cell is milky yellow. That looks modest and the solar cell barely produces any power. The battery is exhausted.

I bought this fan a good 10 years ago, assuming that a fan with a stainless steel cover from yacht supplies would be of high quality. I can NOT recommend the fan for the following reasons - All touch buttons do NOT give any feedback about the switching status. Touch buttons are completely out of place if there is no display or LEDs for the switching status! - The fan performance is so marginal that it is difficult to judge whether the fan is running and whether it is sucking in or sucking in). I have several times disassembled a Tempo handkerchief into the individual layers to check which direction the air flow has. - Apparently there is no efficient charging technology installed for the batteries - after less than 5 years nothing worked at all - not even in sunshine, because the defective (and not replaceable) batteries then apparently short-circuit the solar cells or at least there is not enough power for the fan . - I had water ingress several times during thunderstorms - in our case all the clothes in the closet were wring out (it wasn't about a few drops; in gusty thunderstorms and heavy rain we speak of liters!) Unfortunately I can only advise against the product.

Fan is built into the toilet as an exhaust fan. The same one was defective when we took it over, so I decided to use it again. Much too weak and "small" for my taste. In addition, the solar cell is not processed properly, which means that it fogs up from the inside. Also had the same problem with the replacement device.

I wanted to replace my old fan, which has stopped running after ten years or so, with a new one. In my opinion, the inner part of the new fan was incorrectly mounted so that it could not be closed against water. Could compare the construction with the old one. I sent it back and am not sure if I should order a new one now. Was it just this fan that failed, or is it the whole series? How can I proceed?

I have two solar fans. While the other with light and cloudy sky works, this one does not. Furthermore, I thought that the battery allowed to use it in the absence of sun while it is used by pressing the button for a cycle of only 10 minutes. The only positive is that it can be closed and the water does not enter. In addition, the hole is not 115 mm but 4 and a half inches. I wouldn't buy it back

If you consider the solar cell and the stainless steel as valuable, remains a bit of plastic and a rough running engine. 50 € would be enough for Made in China!

Slightly larger through-hole than standard Bavaria, but doable.
But solar charging and driving only works when the rising sun is directly on the solar panel, and it rarely does when mounted horizontally on the deck.
Very flimsy in its construction and you really have to be careful when openingclosing it so as not to break anything.
No, it will be replaced at the next opportunity.

Difficult to understand why anyone gives a review at all, i.e. shortly after the purchase, before experience with the product could be gained.
This fan stops working after a year, after 24 months it breaks down because it cannot withstand the UV rays.
Anyone who develops, manufactures or distributes such a thing deserves a punishment equivalent to genocide, because that's what it is.
It certainly sounds exaggerated for many, but it will become apparent that 'we' could no longer afford such a thing.

I installed and removed three of them. Why? - Because I drilled new holes in my saloon hatch for this fan. Now I can probably swap the disc! The first fan could not be switched on and off - switch defective. The second fan needed full sun power (really full pot) to work, a sunny evening didn't get it to spin anymore. The third one finally worked, but only for 7 weeks. A Note to SVB I love shopping from you and you are a retailer of products made by others. I advise you to phase out this e-waste.

I had a Smartvent solar fan 100 in use for many years without any problems, only the warehouse was getting louder and louder, which is why I was looking for a replacement. Then I decided on the 300, unfortunately the device stopped working after less than a year, it seems to be a problem with the electronics. The manufacturer did not offer any help or spare parts on offer. As a result, I definitely cannot recommend this product!
