It is a product completely unsuitable for boat use, so much so that the instructions themselves (those in German) prohibit indoor use. When the lantern is turned off it must be immediately brought out because the fumes increase even more. Precise that I tried using this winter in a 34-foot boat. This disadvantage occurs using the special kerosene recommended for use that is extremely refined and theoretically odorless (as well as extremely expensive) and I imagine it is aggravated using normal kerosene. I don't usually rate a product badly but this product only deserves one star. 1-star Because it is efficient in terms of performance (heats very well). Please note this device is difficult to fill with kerosene, difficult to light, difficult to extinguish, unsafe, it does not have a safety device (but it is indicated in the instructions), the wick slides badly in its housing (the design means that the wick twists). I bought it for my edge but it will end up at the bottom of the garage. Especially not to be used while sailing or at anchor, barely at the dock. Too bad because this lamp has an aesthetic side. The product was not as the specification, the wick is faulty and to make worst, it was not fitted correctly, it is not going all the way down when using the turning Knob, one night i turned it off but realized in the morning that it is still on consuming all the Kerosene. i have tried to follow the manual to adjust the wick but still the same issue. i need my money back or replace the product.

The stove has served me well in the cottage on the Christmas market. That you can also warm water is awesome. A bit annoying I feel the smell when burning.
