Usual antenna line. I have to lead the line through the mast of a sailing boat, through a deck duct (gooseneck) inward to the radio. To do this, however, one of the two plugs must be cut off and instead a PL plug must be soldered to the cable after laying so that the cable can be connected to the VHF radio. Das hier bewertete RG 8X Antennekabel hat bessere elektrische Eigenschaften als das übliche RG 58 Kabel. Der Kabeldurchmesser ist 6 mm Durchmesser, die FME-Verschraubungen sind im Bereich des Sechskants 9 mm, d.h. zur Kabeldurchführung wird lediglich eine Bohrung von ca. 10 mm benötigt.

Ein kleiner Praxis-Tipp
Wenn dennoch ein FME-Stecker abgeschnitten werden muss, dann werfen Sie den nicht sofort weg!
Schneiden Sie nicht direkt am Stecker ab, sondern lassen Sie ein Stück Kabel dran. Kaufen Sie sich einen weiteren PL-Stecker (- wir freuen uns!) und bauen Sie sich damit ein kurzes Adapterstück.
Bei Problemen mit der Funkanlage kann mit dessen Hilfe die Antenne direkt mit dem Funkgerät verbunden und getestet werden.
