After more than 30 years, the gelcoat layer on our upper deck has become quite unsightly. Several small holes had already formed in the original pebbled surface of our Dehler yacht, which had previously only been temporarily filled with two-component filler.

I watched many tests and videos beforehand and then decided on this product. The deck of my old LM23 had been neglected by the previous owner. Old holes from offset handrails were hastily filled. This product covers uneven surfaces very well, and the prep work is minimal (degreasing, sanding, cleaning). The deck now has a completely new, well-maintained appearance. If you follow the instructions, the application is simple after a little practice. However, you should work in pairs. One person applies the product, the other rolls it. I'm very satisfied. Kiwigrip is easy to apply, even for laypeople. Super slip-resistant.
Sand down old paint, bonding agent, 1 or 2 coats of top coat, mask off the desired areas (double with 1-2 mm more in the 2nd layer of tape), then spread Kiwigrip evenly with the notched trowel, then roll it up with the texture roller provided, quickly peel off the top layer of tape, finally apply another layer of top coat, quickly peel off the 2nd layer of tape. Apply all layers of paint with the foam roller for 1K paint. Great result.
