Der bisher einzige Holzschutz der absolut perfekt einzieht,und das besser als alle Lasuren / Lacke das Holz schützt-vor allem im Aussenbereich! Kein reißen auf dem Holz=kein Wasser kann mehr einziehen weil das Holz sich mit D1 vollsaugt.Soll das Holz anschließend glänzen, mit D2 nachstreichen.

Nachdem wir mit Lack nie ein gutes Resultat erzielen konnten, haben wir auf Owatrol umgestellt. Unsere Erfahrungen sind sehr gut. Mahagoni kommt heute meist aus Plantagen, was ja auch richtig ist. Die Bäume werden häufig zu rasch hochgezogen und künstlich getrocknet. Das Wasser im Holz kommt nur mit Öl heraus. Owatrol ist für uns die gute Lösung. www.surli.ch

Owatrol D1 zieht sehr schnell und gut in das Holz (bei mir Teak) ein. Leicht zu verarbeiten und nach wenigen Stunden Staubtrocken.
Aber aufgepasst. Das Holz, z.B. Teak dunkelt etwas nach, obwohl D1 farblos ist. Nach dem intensiven streichen ist das Holz wasserabweisend und die Masserung kommt gut raus.

D1 darf nicht zu viel aufgetragen werden da ea dann unter der D" Schicht ausgast, auch nach mehreren Tagen Trockenzeit. Ansonsten ein sehr gutes Produkt.

Processing is time-consuming because according to the description D.1 must be applied first

Processing D.1 apply wet on wet every 20 minutes (very time-consuming). Masking tape runs behind - see rating D.1.
D.2 apply at least 4 coats with a waiting time of 12-24 hours. Before the last coat, sand with 400 grit sandpaper soaked in D.1 (to get a better result).
Then let it dry for 10 days.
The result is impressive but also very time-consuming. Cannot be applied to walking surfaces (risk of slipping).
I can't say anything about durability or UV resistance as I only applied it this season (2024).
