Fantasy dimensions for inch connections?

Vetus and hose connections. Oddly enough, there isn't a Vetus connection that I haven't cursed at for at least half an hour.

You can't get a 25 mm hose onto the filter because the stuff has to be 30 mm. Yes, and what should I do now if I have to put 25 mm on the motor..

The same theater every time. And 1 14 inches is almost too big at 32mm. So what? Should I unscrew the hose myself or what now?

These filters only lasted one season with me. The following year I wanted to turn off the lid and clean the inside. But the lid sticks, despite Vaseline and only hand-tight turn, so firmly that the lid is no longer non-destructive rotatable. Despite using the VETUS key filter.
