Splicing is a bit tricky because braid sits tighter on the sheath than the core.

the top has twists during use, the leads are not carried out in a workmanlike manner due to the presence of dinema protection cores

The shell is very loose around the core and the line itself is too thick. 12 mm is more like 14 mm in reality and therefore a little too thick for what I want to use it for.

A good rope in itself. I bought it as a mainsheet. What I wasn't aware of is that this rope has an intermediate cover - i.e. there is a braided layer between the outer cover and the Dyneema core. This makes it difficult to splice and very stiff. The result is that it doesn't stay in the winch's clamp ring but works its way out of the clamp ring when screwed in (at least with my 46 Harken winch). This means it can only be operated with two hands: one hand keeps the sheet in the winch and the other does the cranking - which means I'm missing a hand for the rudder. I therefore wouldn't recommend this product for any running rigging; I always end up with it flying out and I'll have to look for something better.

Always trusted SVB, always a loyal and satisfied customer but this item was a total disappointment.
Its sold as Dyneema core but I'm sure the percentage of dyneema ism close to 0. the line streches more than 20%... core melts like poliester... I'm not going to use it. Very very poor quality
