Rapid wear.

The above product is rated after almost a summer of use. 4 of which were intensive sailing weeks. The mooring lines are very chic and feel very nice. The damping behavior is subjectively good. After a few uses in different ports, where the mooring lines are guided through a metal eye on slip, there are clear signs of wear and tear after just one night. The lines look very worn out relatively quickly. Subjectively, the wear is significantly higher than with my old lines. These are now used again in particularly restless berths. I would not buy the product again and try a Liros mooring line next ....

A night with Mistral

The rope itself is very attractive both visually and to the touch. All of our mooring lines are Dock-Flex mooring lines. However, while currently underway in the Mediterranean, we noticed after a short time that the lines wear out very quickly. Attached is a photo of the 14mm Dock-Flex after a night with Mistral. For us, this quality is inadequate.

I bought this mooring line especially because of the description for troubled harbors, in the hope that it would be a little more flexible and durable. Unfortunately that doesn't apply, hardly any shock absorption and already feeling ashamed in the lip cleat!

Not recommended

In a gusty wind (up to 35kts these lasted about two years as stern lines before dangerous damage was present (dock cleat was in good shape and rather smooth, rope not in contact with concrete)....a rather expensive mistake to have purchased these lines.

The splice doesn't hold. No response from the manufacturer to the complaint.

After just over a season, only used for mooring guest boats, a splice has almost completely disintegrated. Perhaps such things can happen. Unfortunately, while SVB answers my emails, the manufacturer doesn't. No replacement and not even a reply.
