Very effective mechanical stripping

I used about 5 of them to strip my entire steel sailboat. I have not found anything more effective for an action similar to sandblasting. Strips rust with great efficiency. Can also be used in corners even if wear is very accelerated. For my part, I found it so effective that I did not hesitate to use it in tight areas.
The price is quite expensive but I felt it was worth it.

The best way to remove old paint!

I don't normally write product reviews but this tool just can't be beat! I've tried everything before stripping, wire brush with flex, the best Mirka Abranet sanding discs but none of these have been as effective as Tercco discs. If I had known about the product beforehand, I would have saved myself a lot of money and time.

The price is a bit high and puts you off buying it, but when you compare how quickly you can get the old paint off down to the metal, it's definitely worth buying

Great tool, why use sandpaper?

I found this tool by accident on the web. I then had a brief consultation from the SVB staff and then ordered it. When I unpacked it, it didn't look as if I could do anything with it in the long term. But I was taught a lesson. I use the 3 disc to "grind" my 6.5 Seekreuzer (Bj.64) completely down the various layers of paint and putty since it was in service. Since there is no grinding involved, the tool does not clog and offers the same quality and productivity throughout. Another advantage is that I don't have any fine dust that spreads in the environment and also in my ship. Furthermore, the end result is nice and rough and perfectly prepared to pick up the primer. I work with a very light small drill that I run at 3000 RPM.

With the disc it was no problem to get old layers of paint and putty off the keel. Getting rid of pure rust was harder than the old paint. It is important not to exert any pressure and always move the disc slightly. A normal drill will suffice.

It is really a very good product but ... there is always a but, for 4 to 6 m²h it really must not be too attacked nor too much paint to remove and flat because on a treated steel hull two component epoxy I just manage to make 1m²h and in addition do not have fun. This product is more to use on small surfaces and flat, otherwise it does but must take its time. I had the triple discs (I said 4 to 65 m²h with a single disc, so with the triple 12 to 18 m²h ;-)).

Don't promise too much. I bought the triple disc and it is very good for working large areas. It's less good on corners and edges, where the drive unit easily slips off track. Then you need the angle grinder with roughing or other discs again. A high-speed drill with at least 3,000 rpm is important for the Telcoo. Be sure to wear safety goggles!

Better than strippers

Faced the challenge of getting the paint and putty off a 35 year old steel hull. First attempts with paint stripper worked only moderately, since the paint layer was too thick and the paint stripper is ineffective on spatula. The Tercoo disc worked wonders.
