Leesail for pilot berth saloon sofa
Ready-made goods that do what is said on the packaging.
Better than a full sheet as it has ventilation for better comfort and pockets for the little things you need at the bedside.
Screws and straps for attachment are not included.
Very good product!

I bought it for protection during the Aegean 600 race. So yet it is not tested in race, but after installing, it looks good quality and well designed. I will come back with details after the race.

Usable with one major change
The lee sail is driven in our saloon on the starboard side. To do this, the fabric is attached under the upholstery. For the upper bracket, I attached the appropriate fastening eyelets to the wood.
Positive No "slipping" possible in the lower area. This is especially important for our youngsters.
Negative The plastic carabiners on the upper suspension flew off directly with little load. There even seems to be a predetermined breaking point?! This is of course difficult to understand for a lee sail in this price range. The plastic carabiners have now been replaced by stainless steel carabiners. So the lee sail is finally usable.

Storm Bed - insufficient strength
Everything is nicely sewn and airy, but with PA shackles (!) and narrow straps it doesn't do the load justice. It's actually ridiculous and not practical. The sleeper weighs a maximum of 100kg, we have about 2-3G maximum, so 300kg load, and a very unfavourable pulling angle, distribute that between both shackles, so about 500 to 700kg load on the hook, if it really matters...that's rubbish. Not recommended. More like a gentle breeze bed...

Reply from G-NAUTICS
