More optics than function

Lid and rubber insert are not conical on the inside, so the rubber insert is not compressed when the cover is screwed on. Contrary to what is stated in the product description, the seal is not slotted, meaning that the connector has to be disconnected. Overall, a non-functional product, which could be designed much better for the required price. As an aside, how do you actually come up with brown as a color? Never seen a brown anodized part on a boat before ....
