The seal is a replacement for Lewmar low-profile hatches. It fits, but is difficult to install. First, you have to measure the correct length (best done using the old seal as a guide, as it will be shorter than you think), then glue it together with flexible superglue, place it around the pane, lubricate it with silicone grease, and finally clamp the frame halves together.

Lewmar themselves use silicone or something similar around the seam – I have no idea how they get it in there. They also use double-sided tape to hold the seal to the glass. But you hardly ever find that information anywhere.

Ultimately, it's very tedious; we'll see if it stays watertight.

This comes as a straight moulding. It is tricky to get it to sit in the correct position and when you do manage to get the frames halves together, the non-moulded seal creases up in the corners. There was no way this was going to form an effective seal so I took it apart again and threw it away. Use only the one piece moulded seals.
