With Power over Ethernet, the camera does not work with a passive injector (12V), but only with an active one (according to the Raymarine forum 48V and 15.4W), i.e. with a built-in voltage converter. The power supply via the black and red cables, however, works with 12V.

I'm usually very happy with Raymarine, but this camera is a grossly overpriced disaster. Comparable cameras with better sensors and a larger range of features cost only a fifth from other manufacturers, but they do not work with Axiom MFDs. The camera can hardly be adjusted because the lock has to be opened again and again. The connection cable can easily be damaged when locking. The IP65 screw connection is much too thick for a mast mounting. If it wasn't absolutely impossible to assemble the camera without damaging the paintwork, I would have sent the device back. Now, unfortunately, I have to book this purchase as a lesson. Too bad.
