Nice to install but water is foaming

It replaced easily the former hoses, However in the first days it had a taste of plastic, and now, each time the water stays a few hours in the hose, it's foaming. It looks like the hose is rejecting some chemicals in the water. Hope this will disappear in a few weeks (?!) Not sure it's very compatible with food quality.

Danger! Hose releases chemicals!

I replaced my old drinking water system on board with these hoses. Except for the stainless steel water tank, all components are new. If the water has been in the pipes for about a day and you open the tap, the water foams very strongly and has a chemical smell. At first it was such a strong acrid smell that my little daughter and I were coughing and had trouble breathing afterwards!
As soon as the hoses are completely rinsed with fresh water, the foaming and the smell are gone. After describing the problem, SVB sent me new hoses. These will be installed soon and I hope that the problems will end.

It gives plastic taste to drinking water

Quite disappointing product which was supposed not to be cheap low quality product (very surprised that SVB sell this).
It is sold as food grade, but it gives a very strong taste of plastic to the water that not even the active carbon filter I just installed before the tap can remove.
Moreover, inner and outer diameters vary a lot within the same tube (see pictures) to the point that some fittings were hard to insert while others of the same size were lose... Very strange.
Other than this, the product is OK looks tough and durable.
Overall score 2 stars.

The newly ordered red hose looks like it's been in use for twenty years, smells terrible, and is filthy. I washed it and aired it out thoroughly; let's see how it performs now.
